<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize nozzles without decreasing productivity nor drawing quality even in a case where defective nozzles inferior in discharge performance are unevenly distributed in even number or odd number nozzles. <P>SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device forms an image by reciprocally moving a recording head in a main scanning direction and intermittently conveying the recording head and a recording medium in a sub-scanning direction relatively to each other. In the ink jet recording device, when an image is formed by the N (N=m×n) number of times such that an image with desired recording resolution is completed by carrying out main scan by the m number of times and sub-scan by the n number of times, an amount of feed in the sub-scanning direction is controlled so that nozzles for recording the respective droplet hitting positions on the m number of scan lines on which recording is carried out to fill spaces between nozzle pitches in the sub-scanning direction in the nozzle arrangement of the recording head are arranged to be aligned with even number nozzles or odd number nozzles for each area unit in the m number of scan lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
