<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure for a battery being excellent in assemblability, as well as a cell frame for an electrolyte circulation type battery equipped with the seal structure for a battery, a cell stack for an electrolyte circulation type battery, and an electrolyte circulation type battery. <P>SOLUTION: A cell frame 10 includes a plate-like member (bipolar plate) 11 for a battery, a pair of frames 12a and 12b which pressurize a peripheral edge of the bipolar plate 11 from the front side and rear side for sandwiching, and an annular packing 20 made from elastic material. At the frames 12a and 12b, an annular groove 14 is formed which houses the peripheral edge of the bipolar plate 11 between the surfaces facing each other. The packing 20 is fitted to the peripheral edge of the bipolar plate 11, being arranged in the annular groove 14, and also being press-contacted between the frames 12a and 12b and the peripheral edge of the bipolar plate 11. The packing 20 includes a pair of legs 21 which sandwich the peripheral edge of the bipolar plate 11, and a base part 22 for connecting the legs 21.
