<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basket type silsesquioxane copolymer having a basket type silsesquioxane skeleton containing a curable functional group and aromatic ring, and to provide a method for production of the copolymer whose structure can be easily controlled. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a basket type silsesquioxane copolymer by polymerizing a basket type silsesquioxane resin (A) represented by general formula (1): [R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>SiO<SB POS="POST">3/2</SB>]<SB POS="POST">n</SB>[R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>SiO<SB POS="POST">3/2</SB>]<SB POS="POST">m</SB>[R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>SiO<SB POS="POST">3/2</SB>]<SB POS="POST">k</SB>(wherein R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is an unsaturated bond-containing group; and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>is an epoxy-containing group) and an aromatic diol compound (B) at 100-140°C in the presence of at least one polymerization catalyst (C) selected from the group consisting of compounds of tertiary amine, quaternary ammonium, tertiary phosphine and quaternary phosphonium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
