MEMBRANE SEPARATOR AND METHOD FOR PREDICTING DETERIORATION OF SEPARATION MEMBRANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane separator for measuring the state of a separation membrane and a method for predicting deterioration of the separation membrane from the measured state of the separation membrane.

SOLUTION: The membrane separator including a membrane module comprising hollow fiber membranes for filtering supplied water to be processed includes: a main membrane module (2) comprising many hollow fiber membranes; and small membrane modules (M1-Mn) comprising one or a plurality of hollow fiber membranes. The small membrane modules are driven under different operation conditions from the main membrane module while operating the main membrane module to measure at least one of film performance and film characteristics of the small membrane modules, thereby predicting deterioration of the main membrane module.
