<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start assist device capable of promoting a start without the change of an engine structure. <P>SOLUTION: The start assist device includes: a circulation path 4 where a coolant water circulates between an engine 2 and a radiator 3; a main water pump 5 for making the coolant water circulate to the circulation path 4 while being interlocked with the engine 2; a heat accumulator 6, which is installed on the way of the circulation path 4 from the radiator 3 to the engine 2, and which can start a heat radiation by a trigger; an electrical water pump 7 for starting, which is installed on the way of the circulation path 4 from the heat accumulator 6 to the engine 2; and a start promoting controller 8 for promoting and controlling the start, which triggers the heat accumulator 6 at a start-up of cranking the engine 2, and which supplies an electric power to the water pump 7 for starting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
