<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can shorten the time required to write waveform data to a memory and can generate a test signal according to a wide variety of devices to be measured. <P>SOLUTION: A waveform output device for inputting an analog waveform to a device comprises: an arbitrary waveform creation part 101; a decoder 109; a waveform operation part 207; a signal generator 111; and a DA converter part 113. The arbitrary waveform creation part 101 is included in an information processing device and comprises: a waveform creation tool 102 that generates a digital signal; a waveform display part 104 that checks an analog waveform created by a user using arbitrary waveform creation means; and a waveform compression part 106 that compresses the digital signal created by the arbitrary waveform creation means. The decoder 109 decodes the digital signal compressed by the waveform compression part. The waveform operation part 207 sets the frequency and phase of the decoded waveform to be variable. The signal generator 111 generates a waveform signal on the basis of waveform information determined by the waveform operation part.
