<p>The method involves carrying out helical braiding of interlocked tubular nested braids (1) on braiding machines placed in a row in a braiding direction, where one of the braids includes yarns made of an elastomer material or heat-shrinkable material. The nested braids are flattened, and the nested braids are stitched together in a direction perpendicular to the braiding direction. The nested braids are wound on a transport mandrel. The nested braids unwound from the transport mandrel are cut in another direction perpendicular to the braiding direction. Resin is injected into the preform using a resin transfer molding process. An independent claim is also included for a stator or rotor blade for a turbine engine comprising a variable thickness.</p> |
