PURPOSE: A robot moving platform passing an obstacle and a moving method thereof are provided to improve productivity through continuous welding working. CONSTITUTION: A robot moving platform comprises an object sensing unit(8), a traveling drive unit(9), a guide bar regulating unit(11), and upper and lower leg joint regulating units(12). The object sensing unit detects the moving direction of a robot moving platform or a target material. The traveling drive unit rotates wheel units(4) of the robot moving platform equipped with a welding robot. A guide bar guides the robot moving platform. The guide bar regulating unit folds or unfolds the guide bar. The upper and the lower leg joint regulating units fold front and rear upper leg joints for a robot moving platform passing over a longe by using a guide bar.
