PURPOSE: A fuel injection pump with a plunger having a lubricant path and a diesel engine with the same are provided to prevent fuel oil from becoming stuck on the surface of the plunger as the fuel oil flowing along the lubricant path is delivered to a fuel oil outlet. CONSTITUTION: As to a fuel injection pump for a diesel engine, a plunger(20) pumps fuel oil by moving up and down in a plunger barrel. The fuel injection pump comprises the plunger. The plunger comprises a lubricant path(40). The lubricant path is formed on the surface of the plunger placed in the plunger barrel. The lubricant flows between the plunger and the plunger barrel. The lubricant path comprises an upper path(41), a lower path(42), and a connection path(43). The connection path connects the upper and lower paths.
