PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for spraying oil is provided to extend the life of a product transferring chain by preventing the corrosion of the transferring chain in an outlet side of a cooler. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for spraying oil comprises a spraying unit(140), a stirring unit(130), and a control unit(150). The spraying unit is placed on the top of a transferring chain in an outlet side of a cooler. The spraying unit sprays oil mixed gas to the transferring chain in the outlet side of the cooler. The stirring unit transfers the oil mixed gas to the spraying unit. The control unit intermittently or consecutively sprays the oil mixed gas through the spraying unit.
