Linear distance measurement for pressure and vacuum units of an AGR valve system

The system has an exhaust gas recirculation valve with a housing that includes an inlet for supplying an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine. The housing has an outlet for recirculation of a part of the exhaust gas into combustion air supply of the engine. An actuating system has an actuating drive that moves a valve body to release or disconnect a connection between the inlet and the outlet. The valve body is assigned to a magnetic measuring system, which exhibits a sensor element to linearly detect a contact-free position of a magnet provided in the actuating system.
