The invention faces the technical problem of reducing the manufacturing costs of needle guides while at the same time a secure, quick and easy reception of a needle by the needle guide shall be achieved. The technical problem is solved by an apparatus comprising a needle guide (300) configured to receive a needle (400) in a lateral direction (306), wherein said needle guide (300) has a first opening (302) and a second opening (304) and wherein said needle guide (300) is at least partially made of glass.
