PURPOSE: A wireless connection reset apparatus in a wireless communication system and method thereof are provided to enable a user to recognize the occurrence reason of RLF(Radio Link Failure) generated in a network. CONSTITUTION: A terminal senses the occurrence of RLF(S1910). The terminal includes an occurrence sensing unit. The terminal determines the reason of the RLF(S1920). A base station receives an RRC(Radio Resource Control) connection reset request message from the terminal(S1930). The base station confirms the reason of the RLF(S1940). The base station is operated based on the occurrence reason of the RLF(S1970).
