PURPOSE: An airbag device is provided to prevent passengers from becoming injured as the gas in an airbag cushion is discharged through a bent hole. CONSTITUTION: An airbag device comprises an airbag cushion(30), a vehicle body panel(40), a tether(50), and a gas generator(60). The airbag cushion is filled with gas, and the gas is discharged through a vent hole(35). The vent hole is shielded from the shielding panel. The tether is combined in the normally closed panel. The gas generator is connected to the tether. The vehicle body panel opens the vent hole when the airbag cushion is inflated. The gas generator generates tension by pushing the tether.
