PURPOSE: A variable oil pump is provided with improved fuel efficiency and durability as excessive power is not transferred to the oil pump and a necessary flow is supplied with desired pressure. CONSTITUTION: A variable oil pump comprises a rotor(1), an outer ring(3), and vanes(2). A pumping range is formed between the rotor and the outer ring. The vanes are radially moved from the rotor. The vanes form an eject flow and bypass flow in the maximum pumping range. The eject flow delivers the oil pumped into the pumping range to an oil outlet. The bypass flow makes the oil flow backward in an opposite direction of the oil outlet. |
