PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet capable of efficiently absorbing external light that is incident at a predetermined angle, and to provide a display device having the optical sheet.

SOLUTION: The optical sheet includes a base layer 11 having light-transmitting property and an optical functional layer 12 laminated on one surface of the base layer. The optical functional layer includes: light-transmitting portions 13 having light-transmitting property and arranged parallel to one another at a predetermined interval in a direction along the surface of the base layer; and light-absorbing portions 14 formed between the light-transmitting portions and capable of absorbing light, with an interface between adjoining light-absorbing portion and the light-transmitting portion formed into a curved face. The light-transmitting portion has a rectangular cross section in a cross section in a layer thickness direction of the optical functional layer. A pair of sides opposing to each other in the rectangular cross section constitute the above interfaces; and an angle θ1formed by a first diagonal line of two diagonal lines of the rectangle and the normal line on a light-exiting face of the optical functional layer and an angle θ2formed by a second diagonal line that is the other diagonal line of the two diagonal lines and the normal line of the light-exiting face satisfy θ1<θ2.
