CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR ESTABLISHING AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTION WITH WIRES

A connector assembly for connecting a first pair of wires associated with a DC power source to a second pair of wires associated with a DC powered device. The connector assembly includes a run portion having insulation piercing contacts for electrically engaging the first pair of wires. A tap portion of the connector assembly may also include insulation piercing contacts for electrically engaging the second pair of wires. The run portion and the tap portion may be provided in separate housing assemblies that are releasably enageable or may be provided in an integrated housing assembly.
