Disclosed is a method for configuring a measurement task, including: directly updating a measurement object in the currently received measurement task into a local measurement object list when user equipment (UE) determines that the measurement object in the currently received measurement task has already existed in the local measurement object list and further determines that the measurement parameter corresponding to the measurement object in the currently received measurement task is different from that corresponding to the measurement object in the local measurement object list. Also disclosed are a device for configuring a measurement task and user equipment. The present invention avoids blind deletion of measurement tasks, thus avoiding unnecessary waste of air interface resources. Especially in the case of the configuration of the measurement task reporting the cell global identifier (CGI), it is unnecessary to delete the measurement task corresponding to the locally related measurement object, thus improving the efficiency of measurement task configuration, saving air interface resources, and improving the quality of network service.
