<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise of a pump. <P>SOLUTION: An impact transmitting path is defined from a suction valve carriage 92 into a suction valve carriage damper 108 upon a needle 58 contacting the suction valve carriage 92, and subsequently upon a suction valve 64 contacting an internal stop 138 of the suction valve carriage 92. Because two separate impacts occur, noise from the pump 22 may be lower than if one object with a larger mass impacts an end surface 113 of the internal stop 138. Furthermore, vibration, shock and noise due to impact are absorbed or lessened by the suction valve carriage damper 108. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
