<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-metal turbine housing, in which protectors for preventing fragments from scattering upon a burst of a turbine wheel are disposed at essential portions, thereby providing a scattering prevention of the fragments effectively and reducing the size and the weight. <P>SOLUTION: A turbine housing 1 is mounted on the downstream of an engine exhaust manifold, and a scroll 3 of a turbocharger for driving a turbine rotor using an exhaust gas is formed of a sheet metal in the turbine housing. The protector 30 is located along a scroll direction on the outer periphery in the radial direction of a rotary shaft of the turbine rotor which is the outer periphery of the scroll 3, and the protector 30 is fixed to the scroll 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
