Provided is a video processing device which is capable of superimposing display data suitable for video, even if the size of a display area for displaying 3D video and the size of a display area for displaying display data to displayed in conjunction with said 3D video are different. The video processing device: generates video for the left eye and video for the right eye from a video stream associated with the 3D video, and expands the display data obtained from a data stream associated with the display data, such that the size of the display area for the display data coincides with the size of the display area for each video; and uses the display data for which the size of display area expanded, and an offset value for producing parallax with regard to said display data to generate display data for the left eye and for the right eye, and superimposes and displays the display data for left eye on the video for the left eye, and the display data for the right eye on the video for the right eye, respectively.
