<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the erroneous handling of right and left lenses during lens periphery processing. <P>SOLUTION: The eyeglass lens periphery processing apparatus includes: a lens chuck shaft; a data input means for inputting target lens shape data and layout data; right and left lens selecting means for selecting a right lens or a left lens; a lens shape detecting means having at least one of a lens outer diameter detecting means for detecting the outer diameter of the lens and a lens refractive surface shape detecting means for obtaining the refractive surface shape of the lens; a right/left checking means for checking whether the lens held by the lens chuck shaft is right or left on the basis of the layout data and the right/left selection information; and a notifying means for notifying the right/left checking result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
