METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLORING MATERIAL FOR COLOR FILTER, COLORING MATERIAL FOR COLOR FILTER AND COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring material for a color filter which maintains both required characteristics of a high contrast ratio, lightness and the like required for the color filter and fluidity and stability with time.

SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a coloring material for a color filter comprises: a step (A) for supplying and dispersing a pigment composition containing a pigment, a pigment derivative and a liquid medium to a vertical annular wet dispersing device (which has a rotor for dedicated motor driving at the lower part inside a vessel and a screen-less centrifuge for dedicated motor driving at the upper part and the circumferential speed is individually variable from 0 to 12 m/s) by using a medium having a particle diameter of 0.005 mmϕ to 0.05 mmϕ; and a step (B) for adding and mixing a monomer and/or resin to a dispersion of the pigment composition obtained in the step (A). There is provided a color filter having a filter segment formed by using the pigment for a color filter manufactured by the manufacturing method.
