<p>PURPOSE: A cover glass for portable devices is provided to have enough strength while have thin, light weight and large screen. CONSTITUTION: On a cover glass(1) for portable devices, concave portion(2) is formed on one or more surfaces of main surfaces(11,12). The concave portion is recognizable as characters or figures when the concave portion is looked from outside of the portable device, or is recognizable when the concave portion is in contact from the outside of the portable device. The surface of the concave portion is an etched surface processed by etching. The cover glass is composed of chemically strengthened aluminosilicate glasses. The concave portion is respectively formed on both sides of the main surfaces in which the concave portion faces with. An edge portion of the boundary of the inner surface (2a) of the concave portion and the main surfaces of the cover glass has a round shape.</p> |
