MOISTURE ABSORBING AND RELEASING POLYAMIDE CRIMPED YARN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND WOVEN OR KNITTED FABRIC USING THE CRIMPED YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture absorbing and releasing polyamide crimped yarn that has excellent moisture absorbing and releasing properties and can reduce the occurrence of water spots, and to provide a woven or knitted fabric using the crimped yarn.

SOLUTION: A moisture absorbing and releasing polyamide crimped yarn of the present invention comprises a core-sheath type polyamide multifilament in which a core portion includes a moisture absorbing and releasing agent and the weight ratio of the core portion to a sheath portion is 50/50 to 90/10. The ratio of the content of the moisture absorbing and releasing agent to the core-sheath type polyamide multifilament is 1 to 7 mass%. When the crimped yarn is made into a woven or knitted fabric, the crimped yarn has a moisture absorbing parameter of 4.0 to 6.5, and a water spot parameter of 3.5 or more.
