<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, imaging control method therefor, and imaging control program for the imaging apparatus capable of reducing the feeling of intense glare even when turning on light emitting diodes in image capturing and irradiating a person as a subject with illumination light from the light emitting diodes. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging control method and an imaging control program for an imaging apparatus include light emitting diodes (LED1-LED3) irradiate a subject, and luminance control means (strobe circuit 106) controls the luminance of the light emitting diodes (LED1-LED3).
