Provided is a stent that can be left exactly in place at a prescribed position in a vascular organ over long periods of time without slippage and be smoothly removed from the vascular organ at the desired time. The stent (10) is equipped with a metal stent body (20), a resin cover member (30) that covers at least a portion of the circumference of the stent body (20), and swellings (40) that are provided on the portion of the circumference of the stent body (20) that is covered by the cover member (30) and are in close contact with the inner wall of the vascular organ to limit movement of the stent (10). The swellings (40) extend to a prescribed width in the circumferential direction and a prescribed length in the axial direction and have a smoothly protruding shape that gradually rises and gradually falls. |
