Producing molded shells in a metal spraying- or metal injecting process, comprises (a) applying a sacrificial layer (4) on a milling model (1), (b) applying a metal layer on a side of the sacrificial layer facing away the milling model, where the application of the metal layer takes place by use of the metal spraying- or metal injecting process, and (c) removing the sacrificial layer and separating the metal layer from the milling model. An independent claim is also included for the molded shells produced by the above method.
