Method for controlling the implementation of pre-defined rules and/or incoming data of a data stream

The method involves carrying out translation of predefined rules (R). Optional elements of an XML schema contained in a path of a relevant relationship are determined from fact elements and converted into a processing instruction according to a respective assigned property information, where the processing instruction are processed by a rule machine (RN). Incoming data (D) of data stream is transmitted into a fact class instance (FKI) that is processed by the rule machine. The elements of the XML schema are handled according to the information assigned to the fact elements. An independent claim is also included for a system for controlling translation of predefined rules and/or incoming data of a data stream.
