<p>A vehicle control system (100) includes a dynamo-electric machine unit (40), a PCU (14) including an inverter circuit, and a control device (18). The dynamo-electric machine unit (40) includes: a housing and a lid section which define a chamber space to allow the dynamo-electric machine and fluid for lubrication and cooling to be disposed within the chamber space; and a breather (70) connected to the chamber space through an on-off valve (58). The on-off valve (58) is normally open. When one-phase short-circuit failure occurs in an inverter circuit for driving the dynamo-electric machine, the control device (18) outputs a valve closing signal to the on-off valve (58). The on-off valve (58) can be set to a closed state by a mechanical mechanism.</p> |
