The hollow fiber bundle (1) has layers (3,4,5) with a specific number of hollow fibers and is made from multiple individual hollow fibers, particularly shaped as a wave line. The hollow fiber bundle is incorporated in filter devices, particularly dialyzers. The individual layers of the hollow fiber bundle are arranged in the form of a helix in clockwise direction around inside hollow fibers. Another layer of the hollow fiber bundle is arranged as helix in the counterclockwise direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber bundle.
