The arrangement has a sensor coil pair (2) provided outside of an endoscopic capsule for determining a position or orientation of the capsule, where the sensor coil pair is comprised of two sensor coils (21,22). The sensor coils are electrically interconnected and are arranged at the points with same magnetic flux density (B-1). An external magnetic field with the magnetic flux density is provided for moving the endoscopic capsule. Another external magnetic field is provided with another magnetic flux density (B-2) for supplying energy to a marker coil of the endoscopic capsule. An independent claim is provided for a method for navigating endoscopic capsule.
