The industrial truck (1) has a vehicle body (2), where a steering device is provided for a steered wheel (6). The steering device is actuated by a steering actuator (12). A lighting device (20) is arranged at the outer side of the vehicle, and is switched off or shitched on by a function of the steering angle of the steering device. The lighting device is equipped with a lighting medium (23b) and a diffusing panel.
