PURPOSE: An image composing method in a portable terminal and a device thereof are provided to compose an image photographed by a front side camera and a back side camera in real time, thereby obtaining various composed images based on a background which a user desires. CONSTITUTION: An image obtaining unit(300) obtains images. A composing area determining unit(310) determines a composing area about the images. A image composing unit(320) composes the images by using the composing areas of the images. The composing area of the images is set by recognizing user input. The composing area determining unit inspects candidate composing area about the images. When the candidate composing area is inspected, the composing area determining unit determines the inspected candidate composing area as the composing area.
