The objective of the present invention is to suitably perform distribution services for content to which information of ages for which viewing is restricted has been added. At a DMS, information on whether or not age restrictions for viewing have been imposed for content is provided using meta-information. In response, a DMC acquires the meta-information for the content for which a playback request to a DMR is being attempted, in order to verify whether or not the content has age restrictions for viewing. In addition, the DMC acquires information related to the device type from the DMR from which playback of the content is requested, in order to verify whether or not the device is capable of content playback control which corresponds to the age restrictions for viewing. |
