The invention features compositions and methods that are useful for genotyping CESl isoforms (CESlAl, CES1A2, CES1A3). The ability to specifically genotype one or more CESl isoforms (e.g. CESlAl) is useful for assessing drug metabolism in a subject and guiding treatment selection.
