A control apparatus (1) for a motor according to the present invention is provided with: a current control unit (4) that calculates voltage command values (vd*, vq*) for driving a motor (100), on the basis of the quantity of state for calculating the voltage command values, which is calculated from a torque command value (T*), and dq-axes currents detection values (id, iq); and an overmodulation handling unit (16) that evaluates whether the motor (100) is stable or not when the motor (100) is in an overmodulation state, on the basis of the voltage command values (vd*, vq*), a current control constant, and a motor constant, and drives, when the motor (100) is evaluated as being stable, the motor (100) in an overmodulation state. In such a way, utilization rate of a power supply voltage can be improved even when the motor is in an overmodulation state, to achieve an increase in motor output. |
