This display device (100) is provided with a sensor (6A) for measuring the brightness of light emitted from a display region positioned on side A of the display unit (6), a sensor (6B) for measuring the brightness of light emitted from a display region positioned on side B of the display unit (6), and a calculation unit (7) which, on the basis of the measurement results of the sensors (6A) and (6B), either decreases the brightness of an LED (4A) or an LED (4B) illuminating the display region in which the emitted light is brighter, or increases the brightness of the LED (4A) or the LED (4B) illuminating the display region in which the emitted light is less bright.
