<p>A method of using a super capacitor to assist a diesel locomotive in electrically starting a diesel engine comprises the following steps: connecting a storage battery (1), simultaneously starting a lubricating oil pump motor (7) and a super capacitor (10), successively shutting down the super capacitor (10) and the lubricating oil pump motor (7), powering on a starter motor (5) to make a diesel engine run, and powering off the starter motor (5), and completing startup of the diesel engine. The method can shorten the startup time of the diesel engine, and prolong the service life of the storage battery.</p> |
