Disclosed are a method and a device for controlling the discharge rate of a mixer truck and the mixer truck, comprising the control device, wherein the control method comprises the following steps: a) acquiring sound signals by detecting the working sound emitted by pumping equipment as materials are being pumped thereby; b) processing, analyzing by sampling, and extracting features of sound signals obtained; c) calculating the material pumping rate of the pumping equipment during material pumping according to characteristics of the information obtained from step b); d) controlling the discharge rate of the mixer truck using the pumping rate obtained according to a pre-stored control strategy. The control device provided is used to realize the control method, and is easy to install, has low costs, and greatly facilitates function upgrading and retrofitting of existing mixer trucks. The mixer truck comprising the control device, when operated with the pumping equipment, can adjust its own rotation rate and discharge rate in real time, cooperating with the pumping equipment much better and reducing the occurrence of overflow or empty suction by a hopper of the pumping equipment during operation.
