<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential device capable of transmitting larger driving torque without increasing an external size or weight, though having a simple and low-cost configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The differential device 100 includes a drive gear 200, a ring gear 300 driven to rotate by the drive gear 200, a differential case 101 integrally rotated with the ring gear 300, a pinion shaft 111 integrally rotated with the differential case 101, a pinion gear 115 freely rotatably supported by the pinion shaft 111, and a pair of side gears 116 and 117 simultaneously engaged with the pinion gear 115 to output rotation. The pinion gear 115 has a spherical-shaped rear surface 115A, and a relief part 115B that is formed to extend outward from the spherical-shaped radius of the rear surface 115A and to be connected to the tooth part of the pinion gear 115. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
