<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device capable of making uniform luminance on a light emitting face to obtain luminance uniformity of irradiation light. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight device is provided with a light guide plate 10 which has a light emitting face 10a for emitting light, a step part 23 formed on the opposite side face 10b to the light emitting face 10a, and a light incident face 23b of which the side face is opposed to the step part 23; a light source 15 which is arranged to face each of two incident faces 23b and makes light enter into the light guide plate 10 from each of the incident faces 23b; and a reflection sheet 11 which is arranged on a face 10b of the light guide plate 10 different from the light emitting face 10a and reflects the light incident into the light guide plate 10 to the light emitting face 10a; a gap part 51 formed between the step part 23 and the face 10 bB on the opposite side of the light emitting face; and a light shielding part 53 provided on the reflection sheet 11 and arranged in a state of being inserted into the gap part 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
