<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc shielding member which is used in a contact making and breaking device having a contact which makes and breaks in the internal space of a hermetically sealed case, and can shield an arc without deteriorating the contact. <P>SOLUTION: In the arc shield plate 15 that is formed using a liquid crystal polyester composition containing liquid crystal polyester, the amount of gas produced by heating the liquid crystal polyester composition at 120°C for 20 hours is 30 ppm or less when it is measured by gas chromatography using a head space method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
