<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce inspection time of contrast of a liquid crystal panel 10 used for a light valve of a projector. <P>SOLUTION: Prior to an inspection, a contrast inspection method causes a quarter wavelength plate to be held instead of a phase difference compensation plate 60 while causing a mirror to be held instead of a liquid crystal panel 10 and individually adjusts a rotational angle θ of a first polarizer 40, a rotational angle θ of a polarization beam splitter 50 and a rotational angle θ of a second polarizer 70 such that illumination information of a light receiver 80 becomes a maximum value. When inspecting the liquid crystal panel 10, the contrast inspection method individually replaces the mirror with the liquid crystal panel 10 and the quarter wavelength plate with the phase difference compensation plate 60. Further, the contrast inspection method adjusts a rotational angle x and a rotational angle y of the liquid crystal panel 10 and a rotational angle θ of the phase difference compensation plate 60 such that the illumination information of the light receiver 80 becomes the maximum value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
