The arrangement has a holder (4) for arranging a probe (2) with a variable working distance in a beam path of a lens, particularly a zoom lens (1). The variable working distance of the probe is focused on a distal end of the lens, where the holder is penetrated by the beam path of the lens and is virtually inactive for the optical imaging. The working distance of the zoom lens is focused as the lens for the various dimensions on the distal end of the optical probe.
