<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element capable of having higher light extraction efficiency and a manufacturing method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: An organic EL element includes a substrate 1, a first electrode 2 formed on one surface side of the substrate 1, a second electrode 4 facing the first electrode 2, and an organic EL layer 3 interposed between the first electrode 2 and the second electrode 4. In the organic EL element, the second electrode 4 is a transparent electrode and the first electrode 2 is a reflection electrode, and the organic EL element is of top emission type. The first electrode 2 has a number of nanometer-size (nanometer-order) columnar structures 21 formed on the one surface of the substrate 1, and the outermost surface of the columnar structure 21 is a metal surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
