<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply pictographs following the actual usage of pictographs. <P>SOLUTION: A pictograph application sentence generation device is configured to extract a pictograph including the meaning of a word which matches a word Ki included in an input sentence from a dictionary for the meanings of pictographs in which a plurality of sets of pictographs and the meanings expressed by those pictographs are stored, and to, when the plurality of pictographs are extracted, select the pictograph in which a semantic distance between the context of the input sentence and the pictograph is the most closest, and to calculate a distance (t) between the concept vector of the word Ki and the concept vector of the selected pictograph as a semantic distance between the word Ki and the selected pictograph. When the distance (t) is smaller than a threshold (k), the word Ki is determined so as to be replaced with the pictograph, and when the distance (t) is larger than the threshold (k), the pictograph is determined so as to be added after the word Ki. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
