<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing an electrode plate by which an actual dried state of a coating film is made possible to be substantially comprehended in a real time and a constantly desired dry processing state is made possible to be maintained over the whole area of a drying device. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the electrode plate includes the drying device which makes drying of the coating film to be processed, while making a current collector forming base material sheet having the surface on which an active material layer forming coating film containing at least an active material and a binding agent is applied run in mid-air in a non-contact state.
