The invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy – in particular, to the charge composition for the smelting of ferrosilicon manganese in ferroalloy electric arc furnace. The charge includes manganese sinter, quartzite and coke fines in a ratio by wt. % 67-70: 13-16: 16-19, and manganese sinter contains the following composition, wt. %: manganous oxide - 46.0-49.7, silicium dioxide – 25.0-28.0, calcium oxide - 2.5-4.5, magnesium oxide – 7.5-12.0 and alumina – 2.0-4.0, and unavoidable impurities to 2.5. The ratio of CaO:MgO in the wt. % is 0.33-0.48 %. The invention provides a reduction in the unit costs of the initial raw materials, electricity and an increase of the useful extraction of manganese from the charge composition for the produced ferrosilicon manganese. |
