<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film that includes an optical anisotropic layer excellent in adhesiveness between the optical anisotropic layer and an alignment film. <P>SOLUTION: An optical film comprises a base 1, a rubbed alignment film 2 and an optical anisotropic layer 3 including a liquid crystal compound, in this order. The optical anisotropic layer includes at least one type of onium compound represented by general formula (I). In the general formula (I), a ring A represents a quaternary ammonium ion of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, X represents an anion, L<SP POS="POST">1</SP>represents a divalent linking group, L<SP POS="POST">2</SP>represents a singly-bonded or divalent linking group, Y<SP POS="POST">1</SP>represents a divalent linking group including a five- or six-membered ring as a partial structure, Z represents a divalent linking group including an alkylene group of C<SB POS="POST">2</SB>to C<SB POS="POST">20</SB>as a partial structure, and P<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and P<SP POS="POST">2</SP>individually and independently represent a monovalent substituent including a polymerizable unsaturated ethylene group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
